Lol, this is fun. Ever since I heard of this I have been thinking of limericks. But some of you have some really, really long sentences/paragraphs. We should call the Guinness book of word records…

Every time I read about the magnificence of nature in the bible I pictured my village. I remember staring in wonder at the tall palm trees that touched the sky, and yet bent in the wind like a giant invisible […]

It was a cold and misty harmattan morning as he walked down the familiar bushy path. He trudged along like a man with a heavy weight on his back. If your son was dying and you were not sure what to do, the weight […]

There are many men that have passed through my life but none hurt more than the last. He was caring and sensitive; he held my hands and always remembered to ask how my day went. I thought he was a god-send, I […]

I would like to thank @admin for speedily reviewing my story.
Though I did post it via mobile phone, I hoped to proof read within the week long wait. I guess I shouldn’t rely on that anymore and only publish […] -

I had a look again and you’re quite right. I just changed direction expecting the reader to follow. I should have led a little more.
Point taken. Transitions.
Thanks. -

Thanks Tola. Points greatly appreciated.
Minor error with the Chibuzor and Chizogu mixup. I edited one to the other and one stray ‘chibuzor’ escaped me.
Thanks again. -

I know the nigerian societal perception (misperception) on marriage is the theme but I’d like to point out that we are being reminded on every other paragraph of the topic. Just a little note for the eventual compilation. Plus family and friends can talk about it all the time but I doubt strangers like the [...]

Very nice so far. But it is a bit disjointed. And in the paragragh that she is in third year i got lost. I thought she had gone back to talking about Debola meanwhile it was Dave. The Brackets indicated you were moving on to another topic not related to Dave.

‘They had actually let her alone since, while still riled from the encounter with the annoying, if attractive man on the hills of Erin Ijesha, she had retorted one of the women with a barb of her own.’ I think i could make head of this but not tails… maybe if this were 2 distinct [...]

Yea am so hating Mr. Fine-guy-Babs. Its going to be interesting seeing how they end up together. Just like the way you built up the relationship in your first novel ‘A Heart to Mend’ or even better.
She had to ‘device’ a way to prevent them from seeing again. I think you meant ‘devise’.

Ditto some comments especially Lawal’s. Not much going on in this part. I guess its just her reaction to the guy thats relevant. And i think there was a bit of repitition when she said she would make her family’s day by taking Babs home. She thought the same thing about Paul. Its a bit [...]

This is just flowing along. I like the MC she’s totally embraced singledom and can read guys. I noticed the repeated paragraph as well as a sentence that’s supposed to be a statement and not a question. “Folarin, I hope there are more steps up there?” And I don’t think its Folarin, am not down [...]

So this is the ‘awwwwww’ part of the story. I was so eager to see what the-freaking-hell she was up to and i kinda got let down by the “You are going to listen to me, because if you don’t, the leader of Slash and Burn is going to find out how one of its [...]

Even without the romance your MC is spectacular, though in real life i would be scared of her. Look at those smart replies! She’s so cool!

I really like this. You are still one my best writers on NS. Where is your novel? I would gladly pay full price. I really hope your MC has repented. As for the distracted banker, I would have thought it was problems @ work. Maybe a promotion he had been hoping for was given to [...]

This is a brave effort considering how sensitive this area is. Its not easy to describe if its never being experienced. The little hidden note @ the end threw off the reality of this for me. Nice try though.
